  • Better performance for hundreds of accounts

    Jevon Wright · 0 · Posted

We're busy working on migrating all old user accounts to the new site, and expect this process to start before the end of the week.

In the meantime, today we've released a series of updates that should vastly improve the performance of charts for users with hundreds of accounts in their portfolio, and generally improved the performance of the site.

    Where can I buy Bitcoin?

CryptFolio is not a platform to buy, sell or trade Bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies – once you have some cryptocurrency, though, you can use CryptFolio to keep track of it!

However here are some great sites and services where you can buy cryptocurrencies:

    • Easy Crypto
    • MyCryptoSaver

  • New chart: Account Balances

    Jevon Wright · 0 · Posted

Today we have added a new chart type: the Account Balances table. This table displays the latest balances for each of your accounts, in a particular currency. To add this new chart to your portfolio, you can add the chart manually.

This table displays the latest balances for each account in your portfolio, that has a balance in one of your portfolio currencies.

If you are looking for a chart displaying the historical account balances for each of your accounts in one of your currencies, consider the Balance Composition chart.

  • Logarithmic scales and zero axes on charts

    Jevon Wright · 0 · Posted

Today we have released an update giving you more options for laying out your portfolio charts.

For most charts, you can now select to display the vertical axis with a logarithmic scale, rather than the default linear scale.

You can also now configure charts to always display zero on the vertical axis. By default, the vertical axis dynamically changes its range based on the data shown in the chart.

To try these new options out, select any of your charts and use the Edit menu. Thanks to YCNZ for this feature suggestion!

We now support KuCoin CSV file formats for importing transactions – allowing you to track your KuCoin assets until the exchange has implemented API key permissions. Thanks to YCNZ for the suggestion!

  • New chart: Balance Composition chart

    Jevon Wright · 0 · Posted

Today we have added a new chart type: Balance Composition. This chart displays the historical balances for each of your accounts in a single currency, as opposed to all of your currencies. The chart can also be stacked, or 100% stacked, if you want to see the historical composition of a currency in your portfolio. To add this new chart to your portfolio, you can add the chart manually.

This line chart displays the historical balances for a single currency in your portfolio, for a given period, for each of your accounts. The chart can be stacked or 100% stacked for a different perspective. If you are looking for a chart displaying the sum balances for each of the currencies in your portfolio, rather than a single currency, consider the Balances History chart. If you are rather looking for the latest account balances that make up this currency, consider the Account Balances table.

To add your NiceHash account to your CryptFolio, follow these steps: Creating a NiceHash API Key 1. Log into your NiceHash account, and visit your Settings page. 2. Visit the API menu. 3. NiceHash only supports a single read-only API key per account. If you do not already have a read-only API key, create a new one by clicking Get a new key. Make sure that you only provide a read-only API key with CryptFolio. 4. You will now have your NiceHash API ID and your ReadOnly API Key, ready to put into CryptFolio. Adding the NiceHash API key to

We now support Cryptopia CSV file formats for importing transactions, deposits and withdrawals – allowing you to track your Cryptopia assets until a safe, read-only API is released. Check out our guide on how to add your Cryptopia accounts to CryptFolio.

  • How do I add my Cryptopia account?

    Jevon Wright · 0 · Posted

Cryptopia does not yet support creating safe, read-only API keys for user accounts. Consequently we only support Cryptopia accounts if you export your transactions to CSV, and import these CSV files into your CryptFolio account. To add your Cryptopia account to your CryptFolio, follow these steps: Exporting Cryptopia CSV files 1. Log into your Cryptopia account, and visit your Account page. 2. Visit each of your Deposit History, Withdraw History, and Trade History pages. 3. On each of these pages, there will be a button to download your transactions as a CSV file. 4. • Transaction types and balance reports

    Jevon Wright · 0 · Posted

This week we have been making further progress on our upcoming tax reporting tools.

You can now categorise transactions to one of three transaction types: transfer, sale, and purchase. Both our API workers and CSV imports will try to work out the transaction types for your transactions automatically, but you can change the transaction type for any transaction manually:

Transactions now also have a new Comment field, which is available for you to use to store any sort of information about the transaction – for example, what the transaction was for, who the other party was, and/or any other information

  • Add transactions to fixed amounts, create custom accounts

    Jevon Wright · 0 · Posted

Today we have released the ability to add historical transactions to fixed amounts, both by importing transactions through CSV, and by adding them manually.

This also means that you can used fixed amounts to add any account or exchange, even if the exchange is not directly supported by CryptFolio. Just create a new Fixed Amount with empty balances:

Then, by visiting the View Transactions page for that account, import the transactions for that account, in one of our supported CSV formats:

The balances for the account will be updated with the transactions, and the account will appear and operate just

  • New chart: Portfolio Value table

Today we have added a new chart type: Portfolio Value. This table has the same data as Portfolio Balances, except you can select a currency, and you'll see the current value of each of your balances in that currency, and the change over the last week.

To add this new chart to your portfolio, you can either reset your charts to their defaults, or add the chart manually.

  • Portfolio Values table

This table displays the latest balances for each currency in your portfolio, and the value of those balances in a particular currency. This includes all currencies that have a non-zero balance in your portfolio – not just your reporting currencies.

For each account, address and offset in your portfolio, the balances, history and transactions are summed up for each currency into a balance for that currency. The value of that balance is then calculated for right now, and for one week ago. This weekly change of the value is also included.

If you are looking for a table that just

  • Add, edit and delete transactions

    Jevon Wright · 0 · Posted

You can now add, edit, and delete transactions manually for any of your addresses or accounts. This is essentially an easy-to-use version of our CSV import feature. To manage your transactions, select View Transactions for any of your accounts when configuring a portfolio.

This is the next release in our tax reporting tools epic, so you should expect this (clunky) interface to improve significantly over the next few weeks.

We've also fixed a bug where manual accounts were not being included in your reports; this has now been fixed.

  • Import transaction CSVs

    Jevon Wright · 0 · Posted

Today we have released the long-awaited feature to import CSV files of transactions into any account or address.

CryptFolio is designed to automatically download all transactions and balances through external services, but if you are using a service that does not have an API, or if the service is not returning all transactions, you can import transactions into your account manually.

Visit your Account or Address, and select the button to Import your transactions file:

The transactions will be processed according to the headers in the CSV file.

Once transactions have been imported, they will continue to remain in the
