    Jevon Wright · 0 · Posted

Today we have released an update where you can now filter transaction lists, by either selecting their currency, transaction type, and/or searching with text. Simply click the "Filter Transactions" dropdown on any of your transactions or inventory pages.

This should make it much easier to manage portfolios containing thousands of transactions.

If there is more sets of historical exchange rate data that you would like CryptFolio to support please let us know!

  • Mining and Airdrop transaction types

    Jevon Wright · 0 · Posted

Today we have added two new transaction types: Airdrops and Mining. In your FIFO and inventory reports, they are treated as purchases; and used up as part of your inventory process.

You may need to manually change the valuation of these transactions, based on how you are accounting for mining and airdrops in your jurisdiction – if in doubt, get in touch with your accountant.

  • Update many transactions at once

Today we have released a nice improvement to all of your transactions lists in your accounts and inventory. You can now select multiple transactions, and change their transaction type – or delete them – all with a single click.

We've also used this opportunity to generally clean up your transactions, making them clearer and more friendly to use.

  • Configure the exchanges used for reports

    Jevon Wright · 0 · Posted

Today we have released an update allowing paid users to specify their preferred exchanges when selecting exchange rates in their reports.

These preferred exchanges will be used whenever calculating exchange rates in your reports, including your charts, inventory reports, and portfolio notifications.

By default, CryptFolio attempts to select exchange pairs with the best available data: for a given date, it prefers exchange pairs that are direct, that do not belong to deprecated exchanges, and have the longest range of available data.

With this update, you can override which exchanges should be used in your reports – for example, if you

  • Linking transactions as associated events

UPDATE (Sep 2018): This functionality has been removed, and replaced with Transaction Groups.

Today we have released a powerful new feature: the ability to link transactions together through optional associations.

For example, when CryptFolio processes a trade on an exchange account, we register it as two separate events for accounting purposes: a Sale transaction, and a Purchase transaction. Using associated transactions, you can now browse these transactions from each of the separate events:

Similarly, when transferring an amount of currency from one of your cryptocurrency addresses to another, you can link the two transfer transactions together:

    These associated transactions will

  • Import Kiwi-Coin CSV

We now support three additional CSV formats for importing your transactions from Kiwi-Coin. You can download your Kiwi-Coin CSV files through Account > Trades, XBT Statement, and NZD Statement.

  • Additional Bitcoin explorers

We now support two more Bitcoin explorers – BitPay and Block Explorer – to distribute the load when fetching balances and transactions for your Bitcoin addresses.

  • Cleaner and clearer status for background tasks

    Jevon Wright · 0 · Posted

When importing lots (hundreds+) of addresses or accounts into your portfolio, it can take some time for all of your reports to be updated.

Today we have improved the background loading interface. Now, when an account or chart is being updated in the background, the chart will be fully accessible with any existing data, and display a little loading spinner in the bottom left:

If you mouse over or click on the spinner, you will see more detail about what account is being updated, how many accounts have to be updated, and also how long you can expect to wait

  • Deprecated exchanges

    Jevon Wright · 0 · Posted

Today we have released an update that now allows us to define old historical exchanges as deprecated, meaning that the exchange rates from this exchange will not be used for updating the latest market average rates, and should not be used when calculating composite rates.

You can browse the deprecated exchanges on the Exchanges list.

  • Manual account transaction valuations

    Jevon Wright · 0 · Posted

Today we have released an update allowing you to manually specify a valuation for a transaction. If you know the value of a purchase or sale, then you can specify this valuation by editing the transaction directly.

If a transaction has a manual valuation and a corresponding type, then this valuation will be used in all of your inventory reports, rather than a calculated composite rate for each date, but otherwise work identically to other your other transactions.

  • Configurable periods for FIFO reports

Today we have released some improvements to our FIFO reporting tools.

You are now able to select a period for each FIFO report, allowing you to generate a report for any financial year or reporting period. The layout of each report has also been improved. Note that only paid users can access more than 12 months of historical tax reports.

You can also now access your balances from the top bar by clicking on your balances count. This is a count of all the currencies in your account (including zero balances).

Finally, you will now only see an inventory warning

Today we have added support for Kiwi-Coin exchange rates and wallets. We are now tracking their BTC/NZD exchange pair, and you can add your Kiwi-Coin account to your portfolio.
